The Process for Building a Recruiting Video

The process for developing a recruiting video is described below. We can work with you regardless of your location, and have worked with clients from coast to coast: California to Pennsylvania. Teh process is the same for any sport, and you can see samples in the link below from soccer, lacrosse, baseball, volleyball, and water polo.

There are three options.

Option 1 assumes you have game video you want to use and YOU select the clips we use in the video. We prefer this option since this assures you get what YOU consider the highlights and the clips you want to show. It’s important that your player be completely onboard with the clips he or she sends to a college coach.

  1. Select the clips you want to use from each game film (~20 clips is enough) and build a table or spreadsheet with the details (game name, start time, approximate duration, very brief description of what you are highlighting.)

  2. Upload the game film to our DropBox (or your site) and we’ll download them from there.

  3. Complete the questionnaire that we’ll use to build a resume. This provides coaches information that they need as part of their decision process: grades, experience, accolades, etc.

  4. We’ll then extract the clips from your game videos and build the video.

  5. We’ll send you a draft for your comments, and then incorporate them. It’s your video, after all!

    Standard cost: $295.

Option 2 assumes you have game video you want to use and WE select the clips to use in the video.

  1. Upload your game film to our DropBox (or other site) and we’ll download them from there.

  2. Complete the questionnaire that we’ll use to build a resume. This provides coaches information that they need as part of their decision process: grades, experience, accolades, etc.

  3. We’ll extract the clips from your game videos and build the video.

  4. We’ll send you a draft for your comments, and then incorporate them. It’s your video, after all!

Standard cost: $495.

Option 3. In this option, we will film the games for you then build the video using Option One or Two. The cost for game filming is $150/game and does not include the video.

In each case, the final video will be 3 to 5 minutes. This is all a coach needs to trigger their interest, and they don’t have time to watch a longer video.

Background music is your call. We typically do not include music. Coaches don’t need to be entertained.
